We went to Reading, PA this weekend for a wedding. Because Sparky is close friends with the father of the bride, AKA "He Who is Paying For This Whole Thing," we were granted one of the 15 guest suites for an overnight stay. Below are some pictures and notes.
This is the main building of the estate. Reception was on the ground floor, guests stayed on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Below is the carriage house where our room was at lower left.
Sparky Sr. and Sparky Jr.
This is one of the rooms in the main house. The bathroom was enormous but I didn't get a picture.
Sigh. One day, that'll be me. Lovely photos.

... and the old, practical woman inside my head says, "omg. I don't even what to think about what that cost."

Actually I thought it was a bargain. For under $10K, they got most of the wedding. The food and staff were included, rental of the entire place overnight, plus buffet breakfast the next day for everyone who stayed over (about 50 people?). Of course Dad still had to shell out for the photographer, flowers, DJ, cake, dress, and booze. Oh, and this was number four of FIVE daughters.

Looks like a great place for a wedding.
I loved the pic of the bride and her attendants on that balcony. Sweet!

E - I wish I could take credit for posing the girls (and guys) up there, but all I did was stand near the pro photographer.
